Meet Kari Henley
Kari Henley is an expert in group facilitation, and has worked with corporate, non-profit and public audiences. Past clients include Yale Medical School resident program, Fed Ex, Hartford Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Washington Trust Co., CT Husky program, the American Cancer Society and many not-for-profits.
Kari has also worked in the spa industry, consulted at the Norwich Inn and Spa, as well as opening a new medical spa at Ritual's in Guilford. Her first love is working with women, and she has designed and led women's groups, workshops and conferences for over 15 years. She co-developed and designed the innovative programs for elementary and middle school girls called the Tween Tribe. (www.tweentribe.com.)
Kari combines her understanding of team building, leadership and communication skills, depth psychology, and women's studies with her practical knowledge of life as a mother of four, wife, and active community member.
Kari enjoys customizing programs in the business world and also has a love of creating sacred ceremonies and rituals which are deeply meaningful and accessible to help foster a deeper sense of community. Her infectious passion for the power of groups inspires all stages of life.
Kari is currently the President of the Board of Directors at the Women & Family Life Center. She also organizes and facilitates the Association of Women Business Leaders (AWBL). Kari has developed and led many local workshops and retreats for women and children, including "Mother Madness" a closed women's group that has met once per month for over four years straight. Kari is an avid writer and has several projects in the works, including a collection of mythic stories for elementary aged girls. She is currently writing a book entitled,"Let's Get Together: Authentic Relationships, Tight Knit Families, Healthy Friendships and Connected Communities." describing the importance of creating meaninful relationships in every social network of your life.
Kari wrote a manuscript entitled; The Pathways of Single Motherhood and offers an in depth and upbeat look at the distinct circumstances women find themselves on the path of single motherhood, as well as tips, advice and research to navigate the bumps along the way.
